In addition to our Institute for ESL & American Studies and other programming, the Center for American Language & Culture at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) offers customized programs for special groups. We work with these groups to design and conduct programs to meet the curricular and scheduling needs of the interested parties. An external program can be held on TCNJ’s campus or possibly at another host location. The Center can offer short term programming such as:
- Outreach events that introduces TCNJ and the American college experience to students interested in enrolling in a U.S. university
- College Prep or Leadership Development program for international high school students
- Intermediate to advanced English Language tutorial for those students who are about to enter college or graduate school
- Teacher training and professional development for international educators (teachers or university faculty)
These programs range in length from one week to six weeks and cover a variety of topics including English language, American Culture and academic skills. The prices for these programs vary depending on the length of the course, number of contact hours, number of students, and services requested such as housing, meals & excursions.
The Center for American Language & Culture welcomes requests or proposals via phone or email.
